Carolyn Ann Thomason Millsapp of Winston, Ga, passed away Sunday night, October 9, 2016. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Powder Springs, GA.
Carolyn lived most of her life in powder Springs Georgia. She is survived by her husband John Charles (J.C.) Millsapp, her daughter Patricia (Patti) Lynn Melton, and her son Barry Lee Millsapp. Also three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Jonathan, Cameryn, Kaydee, and Alayna.
Other surviving family members include her brother Sammy Thomason and his wife Carol of Powder Springs, Ga, and sister Janie Johnson and her husband Steve of Bowden, Ga.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Samuel P. and mother Flossie M. Thomason, sister Paulette, and grandson Thomas.
Carolyn was a hairstylist for over 30 years and owned the Chatter-box Hair Salon in Powder Springs, Ga. She loved making people feel beautiful and better about themselves. She kept many of her customers as lifelong friends.
Carolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There she served in many leadership positions including the Relief Society, Primary, youth organizations as well as many other callings.
Carolyn was loved by her In-laws, many nieces and nephews, wonderful friends, and her beloved yorkies, Zeus and Chrissy.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, October 14, 2016 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
