Carolyn Sue Jones

Carolyn Sue Jones, age 73, of Marietta, Georgia passed away August 14, 2021. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her daughter Christy J. Waller, her parents Vestal and Minnie Gilmore and her sister Billie Monroe.

Carolyn was a native of Tennessee and loved most of her life in Marietta, GA. She was a fun loving person who loved to laugh and have a good time. She was a firm believer in God and attended church regularly when her health permitted. Carolyn especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include: husband of 48 years: Loy H. Jones of Marietta, GA; sisters: Brenda Justice and Darlene (Burl) Alcorn both from Oliver Springs, TN; brother: Benny Gilmore of Oliver Springs, TN; grandson: Braden Waller; granddaughter: Payton Waller; special friend Daphne Sewell who she thought of as a daughter; her in-laws: Larry and Brenda Jones, Darrell Jones, Mary Bowlin and Ann Leffman and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
