Carole Anita Jenkins

Carole Anita Jenkins, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 4:01 PM with family at her bedside.

Carole was born to Marjorie Beatrice and Marion Woodrow Gordon on July 9, 1944 in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. On October 25, 1958, at the age of 14, she married her young sweetheart Gary Patrick Jenkins who was 17 at the time. Together, Carole and Gary had four children, Greg, Cathey, Robin, and Stacie. They lived in Mableton, Georgia as they raised their family and then found new roots in Marietta where they have remained.

After years at home with her children, Carole received her GED, and later graduated magna cum laude from Chattahoochee Tech with an associates degree as a medical assistant. In the early 90's she began her career at Cobb Family Medicine and within a few years left to once again dedicate herself to her family and loved ones.

As a woman of faith, Carole was devoted to praying and providing for those in need. Her greatest joy was her family, husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Gary, and their four children and their spouses: Greg and his wife, Michelle Jenkins, Cathey and her husband, Wayne Pickett, Robin and her husband Kerry Gordon, and Stacie and her husband, Wesley Cash. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren: Michael Pickett, his wife, Angel and their children, Easton, Gavin, and Wyatt Pickett, Nicholas Gordon, his wife, Lindsey and their children, Palmer and Jack Gordon, Scott Pickett, his wife, Julia and their children, Vander, Farris, Atticus, and Maryn Pickett, Tyler Gordon, his wife, Katie and their children, Logan, Colton, and Maverick Gordon, Zachary Gordon, his wife, Katie and their children, Parker and Caroline Gordon, Kalee Carnett, her husband, Jonah and their children, Luke and Madelyn Carnett, Carleigh Meier, her husband, Ricky and their son Barrett Meier, Ashleigh Franks, her husband, Spencer and their children Sophie and Cash Franks, Ansleigh Cash, Jacob Cash and his girlfriend, Evie Panzarino. Carole is also survived by her sister Judy and her husband, Gene Jabaley, her brother Tommy and his wife, Karen Gordon, and many beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor James Burdette officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Gardens in Villa Rica, Georgia.
