Carol K. Thellen

Carol K. Thellen, age 71, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. 

Born in Atlanta, Mrs. Thellen lived her entire life in Marietta. She graduated from Marietta High School, then attended Kennesaw State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. After a short teaching job at Lockheed Elementary School, she entered the banking industry, where she worked for Marietta Savings and Loan, Georgia Federal Bank, First Union Bank, and R.T.C. Bank. After retiring from banking, she worked as the Administrative Assistant at Macland Presbyterian Church for 16 years. Mrs. Thellen was very active with her Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and loved her Yoga classes.

Survivors include: Husband of 48 years, Roger D. Thellen; Mother, Betty F. Kuhnen, Marietta, GA; Sister, Janey (Phil) Mascara, Marietta, GA; Niece, Kim Mascara, Canton, GA; Nephew, Rusty (Heather) Thomas, North Dakota; Mother-in-Law, Rita V. Thellen; Sister-in-Law, Margie Moulton, Martinez, GA, and 3 Nieces by marriage, Caitlin (Georgia), Julie (Tennessee), and Tedra (Maryland).

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
