Brenda Wallis O'Barr

Mrs. Brenda O’Barr, age 82, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away peacefully, Tuesday March 19, 2024 at Kennestone Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louie O’Barr and sister Maxine Fauscett.

Brenda was born January 2, 1942 in Gainesville. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Ruby (Leachman) Wallis. Brenda was a graduate of Gainesville High School before working in Atlanta where she met her husband. Brenda worked at Georgia Institute of Technology and U.S. Steel before finally settling at Colonial Pipeline Company where she retired from after 25 plus years. Brenda was a member of Macland Baptist Church for many years. Brenda enjoyed being in the choir and attending Sunday School. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, helping everyone around her and working with her plants and flowers. She was especially fond of animals and loved her many cats over the years.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Mark) O’Barr; many nieces and nephews along with many loving friends.

A celebration of life serve service will be done at a date to be determined.
