Brenda Joyce Irby

Brenda Joyce Irby, age 81, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. David Camp officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.

Born in Toccoa, GA, Mrs. Irby lived in Cobb County for most of her life. She graduated from Osborne High School. Brenda was a “Nana” to 7 grandchildren and one great grandson who she adored. She was always so proud of each one of them. As often as she could, she would be at their sports events cheering them on. She attended many talent shows and drama productions, and whatever else in which the grandkids were involved. Brenda had a love for collecting special items, especially Barbies. She would give her granddaughters special ones for almost every holiday. She has over 400 Barbies still in boxes! Brenda also loved Christmas! Decorations were up sometimes before Halloween. She would give each grandchild special Hallmark ornaments every year. That was the most special time of year for her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben L. Irby, Jr. in 2016, her parents, Lonnie Wayman and Revalee Cash Ayers, and a brother, David Ayers.

Survivors include: 2 Sons, Mark Irby (Tracy Taylor), Marietta, GA, and Todd (Lisa) Irby, Kennesaw, GA; 4 Siblings, Linda Ayers Wallace, Lonnie (Linda) Ayers, Ronnie (Brenda) Ayers, and Debbie Ayers (Dan) Barker; 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
