Brenda Harrelson

Brenda Rushing Harrelson, age 75, of Marietta, Georgia passed away March 21, 2023 surrounded by family. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia..

She is survived by her husband, Wally, and son, Justin, her twin sister, Linda Bone, Grandsons, JD and Joseph, Granddaughter, Ellie, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Homer "Red" Rushing, and her brother, Homer "Doug" Rushing.

Brenda was a beloved mom, Nonna, sister, aunt, and friend who was known for her love for the outdoors, whether working with the many plants that adorned her home or simply enjoying nature. An avid crafter, she enjoyed creating art, both useful and beautiful for her friends and family. It would be remiss to not mention her love for sweepstakes, sharing her prize winnings with family and friends.

Brenda, while not devoting herself to a single church, remained spiritual in her life. While, she spent her earlier years as a homemaker, she later lent her eye for detail to her husband's home business, when she took on the role of accountant.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
