Dr. Bradley Jeffries of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2013 after a courageous battle against a lengthy illness.
He was born in La Paz, Bolivia on November 21, 1958 to American parents. His family moved to Illinois in 1966. Brad graduated from Hinsdale Central High School, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa. He also received a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Illinois. Most of his work life was spent in the biomedical device area, where he was most recently employed by CardioMEMS in Atlanta.
Brad is survived by his three sons, Alex, Grant, and Clark as well as his father, Francis Jeffries and his sister, Roxanne Jeffries.
The family will receive friends and a ceremony will be held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the residence of Dr. Jeffries. Please RSVP to Dr. Jeffries' son, Grant at 404-985-8285.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Brad's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
