Bo enjoyed serving the Fair Oaks community through his work at Fair Oaks Paint and Hardware where he enjoyed mixing paint that was as colorful as his personality. Bo’s talents extended beyond his professional life; he had a deep passion for photography, cooking, and reading, with a particular fondness for the works of Stephen King. His love for the arts led him to enjoy live theatre, where he found joy in the performances and stories that unfolded on stage.

Bo was a devoted member of Fair Oaks United Methodist Church, where he served as a Lay minister, Sunday school teacher, and in other leadership roles. Bo faced health challenges with grace; he battled Parkinson's Disease and, more recently, cancer, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience throughout his struggles.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of 22 years, Marsha Lipscomb Clay; his daughter, Amanda Jean Clay; and his son-in-law, Jonathan Andrew Hickel. He is also survived by Jeannie Aycock Allen, the mother of his daughter, Amanda. Preceding him in death were his parents, Dorothy S. Clay and Horace B. Clay.
