Dr. Bobby Wayne Hill, age 68, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017. The family will receive friends Friday, April 21, 2017 from 1:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. Private services will be held.

Dr. Hill graduated from Troup County High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army from 1968 – 1971. He attended the University of Alaska and graduated from LaGrange College with a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry in 1973 and he graduated from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City in June of 1977. Dr. Hill was licensed to practice Osteopathic Medicine by the Georgia State Medical Board and the Alabama State Medical Board and was certified in General Practice by the American Osteopathic Board of General Practice. He opened his Family Practice office in Powder Springs, GA in July 1978 – April 2017. His professional associations included; Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physician, President-Elect of the GA State Medical Board 1996-1998, Board member of GA Osteopathic Medical Association for 6 years, Board Member of GA Osteopathic Institute from 1996-1999, Senior Federal Aviation Medical Examiner, President of the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association 1994-1995, Delegate of the American Osteopathic Association since 1994, Delegate of the American Academy of Family Medicine since 1994, Member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, Member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine, Member of the GA society of the American Academy of Osteopathic Family Medicine, Member of the American Medical Association, Member of the Southern Medical Association, Member of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review, and Faculty Appointment at Nova Southern University. Dr. Hill trained 3rd and 4th year students from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and also published several articles in magazines during his 39 years as a Physician.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Susan Hill of Powder Springs, GA.; son, Robert Avery Hill of Powder Springs, GA. and son and daughter in law Jacob Adrian and Mackenzie Hill of Powder Springs, GA.; sisters, Louise Fortham of TN and Vera “Vicki” Hicks of Kennesaw, GA.; and three grandchildren, Jacob Tyler Hill, Payton Hill and Henry Hill all of Powder Springs.
