Billy George Smith

Billy George Smith, age 86, of Marietta, formerly of Sparta, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 18, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road in Marietta with Rev. William I. Sauser, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

Mr. Smith was born in Fulton County and was a Veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. He was also a Shriner (Yaarab Temple, Atlanta) and a Mason with 50 years of service at the Panthersville Lodge. Mr. Smith was co-owner of Tri-State Water Company.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Louise Smith; sons, Randy (Lauren) Smith of Marietta and Ed (Sue) Smith of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Greg (Maggie) Smith and Alicia Smith and nephew, Richard Wooddy of Mechanicsville, VA.
