William Francis "Billy" Rogers, age 84, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Friday, July 8, 2022. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta with Gene Hice officiating.
Born in Marietta, GA, Mr. Rogers was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. He graduated from McEachern High School in 1955, then worked as a Diesel Engine Mechanic for Yancey Brothers, retiring after 27 years of employment. He was a longtime member of Macland Baptist Church, and loved watching NASCAR, loved his 1972 Ford Truck, and enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include: Wife of 50 years, Eva Sue Rogers; 3 Children, Susan (Matt) Jobson, Douglasville, GA, Charlotte-ann Rogers, Chamblee, GA, and William Robert "Bobby" (Pam) Rogers, Auburn, GA; Sister, Judy Dale Gray, Dallas, GA; 3 Grandchildren, Chris Rogers, Jennifer Rogers, and Garrett Jobson; 2 Great Grandchildren, Opal Rogers and Hazel Darvalics.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Billy Rogers' memory to Georgia Transplant Foundation @ www.gatransplant.org , or to Macland Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
