Mr. Billy J. Dalton, age 78, of Powder Springs went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 16 at 2 pm in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Dr. Richard Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service.
Mr. Dalton was a native of Georgia and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for General Motors for 37 years before retiring. He was a member of Macland Baptist Church and a member of the Adult 5 Sunday School Class. He was a loving husband, proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Dalton is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Yvonne Dalton of Powder Springs; daughter, Cheryl D. Dalton of Greensboro, NC, 3 sons: Darrell (Marsha) Everson of Powder Springs, Rodney Everson of Smyrna, Max Everson of Flowery Branch; brother, Swayne J. (Carol) Dalton of Smyrna; 3 grandchildren: Gabe (Jennifer) Everson, Ginny (Mourad) Bowen, Haley Everson and her mother, Renee Everson; 5 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
