Betty Katherine Murphy, age 71, of Smyrna, GA passed away peacefully in her home from complications from cancer on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta.
Born in Stigler, Oklahoma, Mrs. Murphy lived in Smyrna, GA for most of her life. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and enjoyed playing golf.

3 Children: Randy Murphy, Chattanooga, TN
Lisa Karlovic, Winter Springs, FL
Kelly (Doug) Slay, Hiram, GA
4 Siblings: Charlene Vaughn, Stigler, OK
Wanda Risenhoover, Stigler, OK
Gary Hill, Poteau, OK
Linda Jones, Smyrna, GA
6 Grandchildren: Ashley, John, Adam, Matthew, Morgan and Branden
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
