Betty Jo Judkins, age 89, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away August 26, 2022. Viewing is set for Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 9am to 10am at West Cobb Funeral Home in the Chapel. Graveside service and interment will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia promptly at 1pm that afternoon.
Mrs. Judkins always called Powder Springs, GA, her home, although she spent almost 20 years on the road following her military husband around the US wherever the Air Force sent them. Even going to the Philippines 4 months after giving birth to her twins. She worked at a variety of jobs in every state they were stationed. When jobs outside of the home were not available, she sewed for the public out of her home, making anything from simple outfits to even a wedding dress. She was a member of McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church, and most recently of Clarkdale United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed baking. Her most popular desserts were a chocolate pound cake with chocolate icing and a 2-layered cake with white icing and coconut
Survivors include: Husband of 70 years, Frank Judkins; 3 Children, Lamar (Janet) Judkins, Missouri, Diane (Michael) Bolling, Powder Springs, GA, and Denise (David) Wooten, Canton, GA; Granddaughter, Kellie White, Powder Springs, GA; 2 Great Grandchildren, William White and Reagan White.
