Betty Sue Elwell

Betty Sue Elwell passed away at 72 on June 11th, 2024, surrounded by family. 

Known as Sue to her loved ones, she was a kind and generous woman who cared deeply for her family and friends. When she encountered people in need, she did what she could to help them. This help sometimes extended to inviting them to live in her home. She raised her children to value kindness and compassion as well. 

Her caretaking also extended to the animal kingdom. Sue doted on her cats as if they were her children. She also took care of the birds that lived in her backyard; feeding them, educating herself about the local species and their behaviors, and spending long hours watching them from her deck.

Sue was well-loved by her friends, family, and all of those who were touched by her warm and giving nature over the years and will be missed greatly. 

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Elwell, her brother Dick Williams, her sister Bonnie Brinkman, her son Matthew Mishkoff, and her ex-husband Hank Mishkoff. She was preceded in death by her son John Elwell.
