September 11, 1939 — April 2, 2017

Betty Jane Stott Davis, 77, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Tranquility Hospice, Austell, after an extended illness.
Betty grew up in Atlanta and was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Edna Willingham Stott, father William C. Stott, Sr., and youngest sister, Della Edith Stott. Her family included daughters Lynn Davis Bixler of Smyrna and Jennifer Davis Crane of Salem, Oregon, son Russell Davis of LaGrange, Charles Davis of Perry, and six grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Mary Ozturk of Neillsville, Wisconsin, Sara Strickland of Mableton, and Georgianna Guzman of Decatur, brothers Bill Stott, Jr. of Stillman Valley, Illinois, Jim Stott of Palm Coast, Florida, Tommy Stott of Fayetteville, Jack Stott and Joe Stott of Jonesboro, and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was a 1957 graduate of Fulton High School and graduated with honors from Crawford W. Long School of Nursing. As a registered nurse at Walton County Hospital, Laurens Memorial Hospital, Perry Hospital, and Houston Medical Center, her focus was always care, compassion, and advocacy for her patients. She enjoyed tennis, reading, travel, visiting friends and family, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be at Smyrna First United Methodist Church on Tuesday April 11th at 2 p.m.
