In Loving Memory of Barbara Ann Ruff
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Barbara, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2024. She was a beacon of love, strength, and beauty, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on August 16, 1959, and raised in Powder Springs, Barbara was an alumna of McEachern High School where she was an active member of the choir and nurtured her love for singing. She had an enduring passion for nature's beauty which she later expressed through her work as a talented florist. Her creations were not just bouquets but works of art that brought joy, comfort, and meaning to countless occasions. She had an innate ability to transform flowers into expressions of love, hope, and celebration. Her floral arrangements were a reflection of her soul: vibrant, warm, and full of life.
Her greatest joy, however, was her family. A devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished her grandbabies above all else. They were the light of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to shower them with her love and wisdom.
To her friends and loved ones, Barbara was a rock, a steady and unfailing source of support and encouragement. She had a heart big enough to carry the burdens of those she cared about and a kindness that left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her laughter was contagious, her advice sage, and her hugs the kind that could mend a broken spirit.
Though she has left this world, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on in our hearts. Her legacy is one of kindness, strength, and beauty—an enduring testament to a life well-lived.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father and mother, Ralph Delbert Ruff and Mamie Louise Ruff.
She is survived by her partner, Kelly Wood, her dearly loved son, Bo Dunn, grandchildren, Ansley, Summer, and Liam, her cousin, Debbie Gregory with daughter Meg Gregory, and many beloved friends who will continue to carry her love and spirit forward.
