Audrey Lois Glosson, 84, of Marietta died, January 07, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, January 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home, Marietta. Funeral services will be Friday, January 9 at 12:00 pm, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Howard officiating. Interment will be at Georgia Memorial Park.
A native of Choccolocco, Alabama, Mrs. Glosson lived in Pensacola, Norfolk, Charleston, Guyman OK, and Oakland CA while her late husband, Ralph Glosson was stationed in the US Navy, until settling in Marietta in 1970. She retired from the Navy Exchange at Dobbins in 1988. She was a member of Milford Baptist Church and was an accomplished seamstress and known for her impeccable taste and beautiful smile. She was one of the last Southern Belle’s.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen (and Terry) Williams of Smyrna, Cherri (and Wayne) Veitch of Dallas, and Joan (and William Mehlhaff) of Glendale, Arizona; five grandchildren: Stacey Goeller, Chad Williams, Kadie Williams, Melanie Moore, Jacob Garrett; two great grandchildren, and one brother, Howard Faulkner of Oxford, AL.
