Aubrey Gene Brady

Aubrey Gene Brady, age 87, of Powder Springs, Georgia went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ August 18, 2022. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs with his three sons officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powder Springs, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Fred and Velma, as well as his brother Lewis, and his sister Allene.

Aubrey was a native and lifelong resident of Powder Springs, Ga. where he was born, married, and raised his family. Mr. Brady as many knew him, owned and operated Brady’s Food Store and Brady’s Barber shop for many decades. Aubrey was a member of First Baptist Church, Powder Springs and served as an ordained Deacon for over six decades. He was a proud Veteran having served in the U.S. Army as well as serving his city as councilman and Mayor-Pro-Tem. Aubrey was a founding member of The Push Rods Car Club.

Survivors include his Wife of 60 years: Betty Brady of Powder Springs, Ga. Three sons: Dr. Matt (Becky) Brady of Claxton, Ga. Rev. Art (Kim) Brady of Powder Springs, Ga. and Rev. Chris (Bree) Brady of Dallas, Ga. Seven precious grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Powder Springs.
