Arthur C. Davis, age 72, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away February 10, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Lithia Springs with Monsignor James Fennessy officiating.
Born in Biloxi, MS, Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was the Head Building Engineer for Harrison High School for several years, and he enjoyed a 20 year career working at Sun Valley Beach in Powder Springs, GA. Mr. Davis loved playing golf, fishing, crabbing, and was a craftsman, carpenter, musician and artist. He was an avid softball player with his sons and his church and he and his wife were members of St. John Vianney Catholic Church for 45 years. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Davis, and his parents, Arthur and Edna Davis.
Survivors include: Wife of 51 years, Mary Joanne Davis; 3 Children, Eric (Gretchen) Davis, Hiram, GA, Danny Davis, Powder Springs, GA and Anna Davis, Dallas, GA; 3 Siblings, Ruth (David) Garrett, Sykesville, MD, Jimmy (Marianne) Davis, Winchester, VA, and Mary Poeppelman, Spencerville, OH; 3 Grandchildren, Bradley Patrick Davis, Warner Robins, GA, Erin Victoria Davis and Owen Dalton Davis, both of Hiram, GA; Numerous Nieces and Nephews, great Nieces and Nephews, and a host of Cousins in Biloxi, MS and Baltimore, MD.
