Annette Cartey Strickland

Anne Cartey Strickland, age 91, of Marietta, Georgia passed away January 11, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 16, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Pastor Mike Cronin officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles E. Strickland, Sr., her son Charles E. Strickland, Jr., and brother Tim Cartey.

Mrs. Strickland was a native of Athens, GA and has lived in Cobb County since 1959. She and her late husband were members of East West Church in Marietta, GA. She was a homemaker her entire life and was completely dedicated to serving her family. Not only did she serve her family, but she always did so with a smile on her face - it was apparent that being a homemaker brought her the most joy. She especially loved traveling in her younger years - family cross country trips were hers' and Charles' favorite. She had a green thumb and was able to bring any plant to life and took tremendous pride in her gardening.

Survivors include: son: Steve (Julie) Strickland of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren: Katherine (Aaron) Mitchell of Kennesaw, GA and Stephen Strickland of Marietta, GA; two great-grandchildren: Nolan and Maddox Mitchell of Kennesaw, GA.
