Ann Bryan Hendrix

Ann Bryan Hendrix, age 79, of Marietta, Georgia went home to be with her Lord on March 30, 2019. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Smyrna with Rev. Chip Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia . Ann was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ruth Bryan.

Born in Atlanta, GA, Ann lived most of her life in Cobb County where she and husband, Harvey, raised two sons. Ann's family was her pride and joy! She loved to talk about her grandchildren and the great grands. She also loved to cook. Ann and Harvey's home was the center of many wonderful gatherings for family and friends. No one left hungry and no one left without sampling her legendary cheesecake!

A member of Bethany UMC for the last 52 years, Ann loved her Lord and Savior. Her faith carried her through good times and through tough times. Often seen with an angel pin on her clothing, her friends and family knew her as an angel on earth.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 60 years, Harvey Hendrix; sons Neal Hendrix and David (Nan) Hendrix; five grandchildren, Brent Hendrix, Clara (Brandon) Allen, Emily (Drew) Whited, MyraAnn Hendrix and Destin Hendrix; eight great grandchildren, Matthew Hendrix, Katie Hendrix, Mason Hendrix, Christian Newman, Abigail Newman, Benjamin Allen, and twins Amelia and Elizabeth Whited; a brother Roddy (Judy) Bryan; nephew Anthony Bryan; great niece Shelby Bryan and great nephew Austin Bryan.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 760 Hurt Road, Smyrna, GA 30082 or Mountain Top Boys Home, 65 Mountain Top Way, Sugar Valley, GA 30746.
