Angelo was very loved in the Dallas, Hiram and Marietta communities by family and friends. Angelo had a Friday every week with his grandson, D’Angelo at Roberts Elementary. He did this weekly ritual for 6 years. D’Angelo now attend East Paulding Middle School and occasionally he would also make a special trip to Marietta to have a lunch with Angelo his 9 year old grandson, who attends Shallowford Falls Elementary School.

You could always find Angelo everywhere, California Park, New Hope Park, and Mt. Tabor Park. He was a very dedicated Little League fan of his grandson, D’Angelo “D Rod” Rodriguez. Angelo was a soccer fan of his 14 year old grandson, Marcus Solis, when he used to play soccer at New Hope fields.
Anyone who met Angelo met a man who was kind, caring, compassionate, he loved everybody. Angelo and his family moved here from California in 1987, in search of a better life. He was always a hard worker and great provider for his family. Angelo worked for Kajma and Shamrock Construction. He worked at many locations in Georgia. Angelo helped build the parking deck for the 1996 Olympics at Georgia Tech, and at the judging venue at Lake Lanier for the Olympics. He always took great pride in his work. If you’ve ever in Marietta, Georgia on Sandy Plains and Canton Rd. area, there is a sign on Sandy Plains – West Oak Center. He constructed that concrete sign, and every time we went to Marietta, he would tell me about it.

Angelo retired from work in September 2003, and was given a trip to Puerto Rico by his son, Tony Solis. Angelo had not been back home since 1951. He was born in Manati, Puerto Rico to Jose’ and Carmen Miranda, who he has now joined in Heaven.

Angelo met his beloved wife Rachael in 1979 and knew it was for always and forever. Angelo had a Celebration of Life party on September 12, 2015. Rachael and Angelo renewed their wedding vows and surprised their family and friends who came from California, Nevada, and Philadelphia. All of his children and grandchildren were able to come visit him one last time. Angelo had a love for dancing. He was always the life of the party, we will dearly miss his beautiful smile and great personality.
