Angela Marie Martin

Angela Marie Martin, age 58, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, December 19, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Randy Cheek officiating.

Angela was born Sep 3, 1964, in Marietta, GA. She was a 1982 graduate from Pebblebrook High School and a 1987 graduate from Georgia State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She taught in schools in Virginia and California before taking a break from professional education to stay home and raise her own kids while moving to Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and eventually back to Georgia. In addition to being involved in her children's education, Angela served as a Girl Scout leader, and as a Key Volunteer (Family Readiness) leader with her husband's Marine Corps Reserve units, eventually receiving an award at the Pentagon for her work with the military families.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Jason Ben Long and her mother, Dolene S. (Long) Arthur. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Michael (Andy) Martin of Kennesaw, GA, daughter Alyssa Michelle (Martin) Jenkins and her husband Bryan of Rockmart, GA, son Austin Michael Martin and his fiancée Megan of Marietta, GA, and her granddaughter, Rylie Ann Jenkins of Rockmart, GA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm and on Monday, December 19th from 11am until 12pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.
