Angela Rose Duncan

Ms. Angela ("Angie") Rose Duncan, age 66, of Mableton Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 12pm until 2pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 22, 1953, she is the daughter of the late Eloise Kelley Burnley and Doyce W. Burnley. Angie is survived by her father Doyce William Burnley of Mableton, Ga, her devoted daughter, Kristy Roberts Chambers, son-in-law Ancil Chambers and granddaughter Ansleigh Chambers of Powder Springs, GA. She is also survived by a sister Linda Burnley of New York City, brother Derick Burnley and his wife Cindy Burnley of Winston, Georgia, sister Cynthia Thacker of Tiger, Ga, sister-in-law Laura Burnley of Hiram, Ga, uncle Floyd Burnley of Mableton, Ga, nephews Andrew and Alan Burnley of Douglasville and niece Michael Ferguson of Hiram. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael ("Mike") Burnley.

Angie was a loving daughter, mother, grandmommy, sister, aunt and friend to many in her family and friends circle. She was a graduate of South Cobb High School, where she excelled in basketball and cheerleading for the football team. Ever the ultimate organizer she volunteered to help coordinate the high school class parties and reunions.

In addition to running her own successful small business, Angela Rose Distributing Company, Angie enjoyed spending time with her daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law, gardening, landscaping, fishing, cooking and generously hosting all the family gatherings and entertaining friends in her home. Angie loved to go night fishing with her brother, Mike, driving her convertible and shooting basketball with her family. She chopped her own wood and excelled at making roaring fires on cold days.

She became expert in many hobbies and in the past few years she took up painting with acrylic where she mastered several innovative techniques known as pour painting. Angie loved her family and friends and was passionate about photography, rock music, decorating for Christmas and her three cats, Buddy, JuJu and BB.
