Alvin Harold Mayro was born in Clayton, GA on March 17, 1946. He was the son of the late Ethel Bradshaw Gibson and stepson to the late Bill Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Johnny Gibson, David Gibson, Leonard Gibson, Judy Carter, and Mildred Gragg. He was survived by his siblings, Cathy Massingill, Geraldine Hunt, and Susie Gragg. Having come from a large family, he understood the meaning of family and its importance. He worked hard to provide for his family and provided them with a beautiful home and memories to last a lifetime. He opened and operated his own mechanic shop for 38 years and became a friend to many during that time. Everyone in Powder Springs knew H&L Tire, which he later renamed to Mayro Automotive. Throughout his life, he helped many families and friends and would do anything for anyone. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Brenda Sue Mayro, for 56 years. They married on July 23, 1967. He was a loving father to his two daughters, Shannon Mayro Goodwill (Tim Goodwill) and Michelle Mayro Breckwoldt (Rick Breckwoldt). He has six grandchildren, Shane Arthur, Katie Arthur, Emily Houston (Zach Houston), Kylie Breckwoldt, Kody Goodwill, and Brandi Goodwill, who all lovingly called him Pawpaw. He has three great-grandchildren, Mia House, Haizley Araya, and Olivia Houston.
As he departed this life and went to be with our Lord, he was surrounded by his family, which is a testament to the loving husband, father, pawpaw, and friend he was to everyone.
