Alma R. Smith

Alma Ruth Smith, age 82, of Austell, Georgia passed away November 29, 2017. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her mother and father: Russell and Martha Bailey Cochran; two sisters: Betty Sue Stanfield Smith and Debbie Cochran Yancey; two brothers: Robert and Rex Stanfield.
Mrs. Smith a native of White County Georgia has lived in Austell the Past 9 years. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include: four children: Alvin (Pam) Pelfrey of Rising Fawn, GA, Nancy Pelfrey (Kerry) Cobb of Austell, GA, Delta Pelfrey (Herb) Hammond of Acworth, GA and Randy Pelfrey; one sister: Carolyn Cochan Sprayberry of Rome, GA; two brothers: RT Stanfield of Rome, GA and Gary Stanfield of Goose Creek, SC; nine grandchildren: Robert Pelfrey, Dalton Cobb, Jamie Cobb, Allen Sharpton, Dawn Sharpton, Rodney Pelfrey, Brandon Pelfrey, Eddie Heard and Jason Camp and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
