Alette Pauly

January 25, 1977 — December 10, 2021

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Alette Junghee Pauly, age 44 of Marietta, Georgia on December 10, 2021 in a tragic automobile accident. Alette was a most kindhearted, self-sacrificing, loving person and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her 10 year old son, Frankie, parents, Ralph and Fran Pauly, brother, James Pauly, sister, Tania Pereira, brother in law, Carl Pereira, nephew, Colin Pereira and niece, Beth Pereira.

Alette was born in Chung Nam, South Korea. She was adopted by Fran and Ralph Pauly in 1977. They first resided in Riverside, RI for a short time and then moved to Rehoboth, MA. After graduating from Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School, Alette attended Geneva College in PA and graduated from Roger Williams University in RI in 1999 with a degree in Political Science. Along with being a member of Alpha Chi, she served as president of Phi Sigma Alpha and the 1998-1999 Political Science Association.

After college, Alette moved to Maryland where she worked professionally at Mercantile Potomac Bank and as a Business Analyst Consultant at PNC Bank. She relocated to GA with PNC to be near family and it was wonderful to be able to have her and Frankie in our lives. Most recently she was employed by Arnold Flooring.

Alette was an avid reader and had an incredible affinity for learning languages. She was fluent in French and had a broad knowledge of at least 3 more! She also loved writing, watching classic movies, cooking, wearing funny t-shirts, puns and pet-sitting. Anyone who had her watch their pets, knew they would be spoiled and loved unconditionally. She adored her niece and nephew and was a loyal and a faithful friend. We have heard countless stories of how she sacrificed for her friends and put other's needs above her own. She was that rare person who would drop everything and do whatever was needed to help.

Alette's loving and generous heart was witnessed most through the care of her son, Frankie. He was her world and she was incredibly involved in every aspect of his life, making sure he partook in sports, hobbies and spent quality time with friends and family. Most recently she was trying to get him music lessons, believing that he would have an affinity for playing piano or other instrument.

Alette's family has set up a GoFundMe https://gofund.me/ac3f2858 for those who would like to contribute to Frankie's care and education in lieu of flowers. In time we will also establish a tax deductable Georgia 529 College Savings Fund for those who would like to help.

Due to the prevalence of the Omicron variant, flight cancellations and general sickness that is going around, the family has decided it is safest and in everyone’s best interest to postpone Alette‘s memorial service until sometime in the summer when it is easier to travel and risk of illness is lower.

The family appreciates all of the outpouring of love, support and prayers at this most heartbreaking time.
