Albert Maurice Garrett, Jr. 81, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. Services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home with Michael Ellis and Rev. William Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Greers Chapel Cemetery in Kennesaw.
Mr. Garrett owned and operated M&M Machine and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served in the Korean War. He was a member of Greers Chapel and attended Kennesaw United Methodist Church.
Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Ellis Garrett; Brother, Earl Eugene Garrett and Grandson, Tyler Blake Garrett.
He is survived by his Loving Companion, Mildred Rebecca Grant; four children, David Maurice Garrett and Karen Garrett of Hiram, Wanda Jeanie Garrett of Calhoun, Richard “Ricky” Leon (Leigh) Garrett of Powder Springs and Paul E. Garrett of Powder Springs; Brothers, William “Bill” Garrett, Charles Garrett, Dwain Garrett; Sisters, Helen Landrum and Linda Garrett; 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. until 8:00pm.
