Joshua Alan Swink

Joshua Alan "Josh" Swink, 41, of Hiram, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, immediately followed by the service on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the West Cobb Funeral Home at 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064, with Pastor Sam Clark officiating. Josh's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 5:00 PM at The City Cellar & Loft at 110 S. Museum Drive SE, Cartersville, GA.

Josh was born on August 3, 1982, at Rockdale County Hospital in Conyers, GA, the son of Ralph "Alan" Swink and Jacqueline (Braman) Kettering. He was a 2000 graduate of Harrison High School. On March 1, 2019, Josh was united in marriage to Samantha (Cooperman) Swink.

Josh began his career working at Reliance Interiors as a drywall mechanic. Realizing that working for your parents could be challenging, he pursued his passion. He became a PADI Certified Master Scuba Diving Instructor. Josh was fortunate to live in Cozumel, Mexico, and teach his passion to others. Josh was also a gifted mechanic; he and his wife Samantha Owned and Operated Swink ATV and Dirt Bike Repair.

Josh had many hobbies and interests. In his early years, Josh was an exceptional baseball player and played on several elite teams. He loved to hunt and spent many hunting seasons with family and friends at what is lovingly known as the "Camp House." Josh was obsessed with motorcycles and 4-wheelers from the time he could walk, but his favorite hobby was Scuba Diving. From the first time he hit the water, he was a natural and couldn't get enough. Josh was artistic, he loved music, and he really loved tattoos.

Josh was a dedicated husband to the love of his life, Samantha, and a wonderful father to their children. He was happiest spending time with and loving them. Being with extended family was also important to Josh. He was extremely close to his parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Josh loved big and loved deep! He had a huge personality that could fill and light the room with his infectious smile and laugh.

Josh is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Samantha (Cooperman) Swink; Three children, Milie Swink (15), Junior Swink (9), Grayson Swink (5); mother, Jacqueline (David) Kettering of Acworth, Georgia; father, Alan (Debbie) Swink of Covington, Georgia; brother, Travis (Misti) Kettering of Adairsville, Georgia, brother, Luke (Carmen) Kettering of Woodstock, Georgia, sister, Brandee (Chris) Wilken of Dallas, Georgia, brother, Justin (Brittney) Floyd of Acworth, Georgia, brother, Jared (Magaly) Kettering of Atlanta, Georgia, brother, Jacob (Megan) Floyd of Acworth, Georgia, sister, Danielle Swink Lundy of Hartwell, Georgia, sister, Stephanie (Shawn) Collins of Social Circle, Georgia, brother, Zachary (Katie) Swink of Oxford, Georgia; Grandmother, Mary Swink of St. Petersburg, Florida.
