Charles Cook

Charles Shelton Cook, age 92, of Marietta, Georgia passed away October 1, 2018. The Homegoing Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Era Elizabeth Cook in 2002, and son, Ricky in 2008.

Mr. Cook was a native and lifelong resident of Cobb County, living most of his life in West Cobb. He retired from Coca Cola as a Supervisor in 1990. He also was a former Cobb County School bus driver.

Survivors include: three children: Larry (Susan) Cook of Marietta, Carolyn Cook of Marietta, and Roger (Sandra) Cook of Douglasville; sister: Ruth (Tommy) Walker of Rockmart; three brothers: Harold (Joan) Cook of Powder Springs, Wayne (Frances) Cook of Powder Springs, and J.C. Cook of Dallas; six grandchildren: Stephanie (Paul) Still of Austell, Jason Cook of Douglasville, Matthew Cook of Atlanta, Travis (Kym) Cook of Dallas, TX, Greg Cook of Douglasville and Josh (Kelsy) Cook of Rockmart; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles Cook's memory to American Cancer Society.
